Poland Spring uses only a small fraction of all groundwater used in Maine and we sustainably manage the state’s abundant, renewable water sources that we access. We carefully monitor water use and strictly adhere to Maine’s state and local regulations. Wherever Poland Spring operates, we install meters to record water withdrawals and to ensure our withdrawals stay within sustainable levels.
Taking the LEED
Our bottling plants in Hollis, Kingfield and Poland Maine were certified Platinum by the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS). These standards guarantee that Maine’s water and its surrounding ecosystem meet a variety of strict conservation guidelines.
